We have a couple of sweet spots in Bladen County, Lu Mil Vineyard and White Lake. Bladen County is fortunate to have both. “Taylor Green” is a little oil I painted on site at beautiful Lu Mil Vineyard in Dublin, NC. “Clearwater Duck” is a little oil I painted from a friend’s photo that she snapped last summer at Clearwater Campground at White Lake, NC. One more big landmark is an 8×10 oil painting of the “Wam Squam” located at the intersection of Hwy 53 and Hwy 701 at White Lake. “Warm Breeze” and “Windjam” were inspired by some beautiful sails at White Lake last summer.
Last week I dropped these jewels off at Smellie Bloomers, a beautiful and unique gift shop in Elizabethtown, NC.
You will also find a few Easter bunnies and mermaid necklaces in my new little display at Smellie Bloomers,
Hope you enjoy looking, let me know what you think.
Happy weekend!

Painting has always been my passion, but I am absolutely loving rekindling my respect for pencil. Maybe it’s the purity that graphite offers, or the emerging clarity that drawing with pencil seems to offer. During the last few months I’ve been keeping a sketchbook, actually I can’t seem to collect enough of them, but only recently have I started using them. I hope you will enjoy looking at my drawings as much as you do my paintings.
“Harrison” is one of my first finished drawings, I really love drawing babies, let me know your thoughts.
Also, I am happy to let you know that the Starving Artists’ Sale at Carolina Artists’ Colony was a great success, thanks for the emails, comments and love.
