Revisiting watercolor, my first favorite art medium. Watercolor begs to freely flow and not be tamed. Perhaps you have a Valentine like that?
“Nesting Hearts” and “Love Flight” are both 5×7 framed pieces.

Hello winter, introducing some warmth on this Sunday evening. Here is a new sweet piece I dropped off at Carolina Artists’ Colony in Sanford last week. CAC is a wonderful place to visit with your family and friends, there is something for everyone. Included in their galleries are crafts, paintings, sculptures, pottery, and more! Everything is handmade by North Carolina artists.

Scraping off old oil paints from my Christmas commissions and getting ready for 2013 paintings. This scraper came from our local hardware store, Bladen Builders in Elizabethtown. It is the perfect tool to scrape off old dried paint from my glass palette. My glass palette came from Five Lakes Glass in Elizabethtown, NC. It makes “out with the old, in with the new” much easier.
I’m starting with a fresh curiosity in 2013 by taking an online workshop working with a shimmery delicious watercolor, here’s my color chart. My fave color is “plum crazy”, imagine that? You’ll be seeing more, stay tuned…………….
I know this might be a little early for some (pardon) , but I have some Valentine-ish little paintings that would make THE perfect gift, let me know if you see something you like. I ship, just email me kbunn@ec.rr.com if you would like for me to help you with your Valentine shopping.
